Amanda Marshall, a diamond-selling and multi-JUNO Award nominated singer-songwriter, recently performed at Budweiser Gardens in London. Photographer David Booth was there on June 18 to capture some shots of the show. Exciting new talent Sophia Fracassi opened the show.

Born in Toronto, Marshall stormed the international stage with her self-titled debut album in 1995, achieving diamond certification in Canada and worldwide sales exceeding six million units. Her soulful voice powered seven Top 10 singles, including “Let It Rain,” “Dark Horse,” and “Birmingham,” and made her a sought-after tour opener for industry titans such as Tears For Fears, John Mellencamp, and Whitney Houston.

Marshall’s discography includes two additional multi-platinum albums: 1999’s “Tuesday’s Child,” produced by legendary Rolling Stones and Bonnie Raitt producer Don Was, and 2001’s “Everybody’s Got A Story,” a collaboration with renowned musician Peter Asher. Despite a decade and a half away from the music scene, Marshall’s voice remains a potent force, evident in her newest collection, “Heavy Lifting.” The 11-song record features the single “I Hope She Cheats,” showcasing her unique blend of soulful blues-rock with contemporary R&B elements.

Embracing her past successes and looking forward to exciting new ventures, Marshall is set to connect with fans old and new on her “25 & Counting: The Heavy Lifting Tour” across Canada in 2023. She brings her music to life with a passion that is palpable, invigorating audiences with her vocal prowess and captivating presence. Despite her extraordinary journey and achievements, Amanda Marshall remains a dedicated artist, true to her roots, and is eager to share her journey and music with the world.
