Emerging Canadian country music sensation Josh Ross took the stage at Caesars Windsor Colosseum on Friday, January 17th, captivating a sold-out crowd of enthusiastic fans. The energy in The Colosseum was electric, with attendees dressed in cowboy boots, plaid shirts, and cowboy hats, setting the perfect atmosphere for a night of country music. On the main floor, fans stood from start to finish, singing and dancing along to every song. Country music has always had a strong following, which was evident on this night. Caesars Entertainment does a great job of bringing the best in entertainment to Windsor and the surrounding area.
Josh Ross, who has amassed over 600 million music streams in his rising career, showcased why he is one of the brightest stars in country music today. Having toured with heavyweights like Nickelback and Luke Bryan, Ross brought his signature charm and heartfelt vocals to Windsor. His accolades include winning five of seven nominations at the 2024 Canadian Country Music Awards, including the coveted titles of Entertainer of the Year and Single of the Year.
The night kicked off with an impressive opening set by Dillon James, a former American Idol contestant. Hailing from Bakersfield, California, James delivered a lively performance that resonated with the crowd. Talking between songs about his journey from overcoming addiction and homelessness to pursuing his Nashville dream added depth to his music and made for a compelling start to an unforgettable evening of country music.
