The glitz and glam of the ABC television show Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) was brought to life on Saturday night in Windsor. The professional dancers from the program returned to The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor for two shows featuring an all-new live version of the program.
519 sent photographer Maureen Stewart to capture the action.
The cast of dancers from the show were joined by Season 27’s second place dancer Milo Manheim (an actor best known for his starring role as Zed in the 2018 Disney Channel movie, Zombies). He was joined by his pro dance partner Witney Carson.
The live show – choreographed and creative-directed by Emmy-winning actress Mandy Moore and DWTS Executive Producer Ashley Edens-Shaffer — allowed the dancing pros an opportunity to enjoy the fruits of the hard labor without having to worry about scoring points from judges and earn votes from viewers.
Dancing With the Stars is expected to return to ABC’s lineup in Fall 2019, after plans to skip a spring season as the show evaluates its voting process. The 27th season ended in controversy with country radio DJ Bobby Bones taking home the coveted Mirrorball trophy with much lower scores that his fellow finalists, which included Manheim and Irish actress Evanna Lynch.
Classic rockers Cheap Trick are the next act scheduled for the Colosseum on January 17. This will be the third appearance for the band in the 519 in less than two years. They are known for the hits Dream Police, I Want You to Want Me and The Flame.
