In 2019 the Port of Kingsville will play host to Six Ships including the Iconic Blue Nose II, Empire Sandy-one of the largest Canadian Tall Ships, the Cooke Islands Picton Castle, SVT Fair Jeanne, The HMCS Oriole, and a Canadian Coast Guard Ship.
A stroll down the Kingsville dock will afford guests opportunities to tour the ships, explore the art and vendor markets, savour local foods and libations, listen to amazing stories and entertainment, or join us for a voyage aboard the Empire Sandy.
Tall Ships America organizes the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® annual series of tall ship races and maritime port festivals to celebrate the rich maritime heritage and traditions and to inform the general public about the transformative power of adventure and education under sail®.
The TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® series is one of Tall Ships America’s most important accomplishments, helping to preserve maritime history, promote environmental stewardship and encourage youth education, leadership and character building under sail.
Tall Ships Challenge Ontario 2019 will make a stop August 16-18 2019 in Kingsville to once again grace our waterfront with their majestic sails. The 2019 Ship itinerary is includes the following outstanding lineup. HMCS Oriole, STV Fair Jeanne, Picton Castle, Empire Sandy, Bluenose II, and members of the Canadian Coast Guard.
