After a star-studded lineup that included Billy Dee Williams, Denise Crosby and local Star Wars hero Angus MacInnes at last year’s show, guests are starting to be announced for this year’s Windsor ComiCon – the latest being Canadian illustrator and artist Michael Cho.

Cho is joining the 2018 lineup, which also includes early announcements such as comic book writer and artist Larry Hama and David Yost, known for his role as Billy Cranston in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television show and movie.

Having immigrated to Canada from South Korea at the age of 6, Cho found his passion through comics, which he attributes to quickly learning the English language and began drawing. Later, he studied contemporary art and graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design.

Cho then went on to create comic covers for Marvel, DC, Image and Boom while creating illustrations for publishers such Penguin Books, Random House, The New Yorker and The Wall Street Journal.

More recently, Cho won cover artist of the year at the prestigious 2017 Joe Shuster Awards, which was established in 2004 as Canada’s top comics honours.
