Over the last four years, a group of six young philanthropists have been setting up lemonade stands and their efforts have raised more than $20,000 for local pediatric health care. And that ambition has turned into a new fundraising program for W.E. Care for Kids.
The group has inspired kids all over the region to set up their own lemonade stands and get into the fundraising game. More than 100 kids joined the “Lemonade Brigade” by setting up their own “Lemonade Stand” in their neighborhood and together have raised over $18,500 in support of W.E. Care for Kids.
Avery, Jaxon, Orianna, Alexis, Brennan and Travis kicked off this year’s W.E. Care for Kids “Lemonade Brigade” back in May, but collections can be made up until September 17th 2018 when funds need to be turned in.
The Lemonade Stands that sell the most lemonade at the end of the summer will win GREAT prizes:
1st Prize: Party for 10 at Springz
2nd Prize: Capri Pizza Party at Home
3rd Prize: Oversized Candy Basket
When participants have completed their lemonade stand, the W.E. Care for Kids office will arrange for a cheque presentation photo shoot with an oversized cheque.
Each child who signs up to join the “Lemonade Brigade” will receive a starter kit with everything needed to get their lemonade stand started. W.E. Care for Kids is always looking for new members to join the “Lemonade Brigade” team
