With all the precision and thrills of the original, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games pulled into Caesars Windsor with all new staging, costumes and choreography for an exciting evening of passionate dance. The new show featured cutting edge technology, including a giant Radiant flat screen that spans the width of the stage, special effects lighting, dancing robots and world champion acrobats.
With some of the world’s most outstanding young performers directed by Michael Flatley and new music by composer Gerard Fahy, this latest iteration combined the best of tradition with all the excitement of new music and dance.
This new Lord of the Dance story emerged from the dreams of the Little Spirit. It is a classic tale of good versus evil. In the Little Spirit’s dreams, the Lord of the Dance represented all things good in the world – but he must fight against evil in the form of The Dark Lord and his Army of Dark Disciples. Morrighan the Seductress comes between The Lord and his true love Saoirse, while Erin The Goddess puts into song the words that dances convey.
Gorgeous, thrilling and masterfully staged, it’s easy to see why Lord of the Dance can return to Windsor year after year. Flatley is a dance genius and these world tours are second to none. The tour has three more North American dates before it heads to Taiwan, Belgium and the UK from December to February.
