Caesars Windsor’s 2018 Concerts for a Cure is celebrating a successful social media campaign seeing a combined 20,326 shares, likes, comments and views on 20 #ConcertsforaCure “heart-hand” photos and videos posted online. For every social media engagement, Caesars Windsor Cares donated $1 for each interaction. The five selected organizations Windsor-Essex Cancer Centre Foundation, In Honour of the Ones We Love, Transition to Betterness, Canadian Cancer Society (local chapter) and The Hospice of Windsor-Essex County will share a portion of the $20,326 raised throughout October and November.
Kevin Laforet, Regional President, Caesars Entertainment, said, “We are overwhelmed with the support we received from our guests and the community who took the time to interact with us on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. It was a simple, yet effective way they could show their support for these cancer-related charities.”
Watch the video here to see how the funds will be used by each organization to help cancer patients undergoing treatment, raise awareness and conduct research in the Windsor-Essex region. Since the beginning, Cares has donated over $8 million towards the fight against and prevention of cancer.
