Serieux Bringing Motown Hits to the Chrysler Theatre

Serieux

Vocal group Serieux are performing The Sounds of Motown at St. Clair College Centre for the Arts on March 4. Doors open at 6pm and dinner is at 7pm.

In 1998, Larry Griffin founded Serieux. His vision was to create a group that could bring to life the Motown style made famous by groups like The Temptations, The Contours, and The Four Tops.

Serieux has been one of the most prolific American soul music vocal groups of the last three decades. With high energy singers and musicians, they’ve recaptured the excitement of the legendary Motown sound.

In 2003, the former lead singer of The Temptations, Ali Ollie Woodson, hand-picked Serieux after witnessing one of their smoothly-choreographed, harmonious performances. He knew this was the group with whom he wanted to tour. Ali died on May 30, 2010, but he left his musical legacy in good hands.

In 2007, Serieux once again joined forces with another Temptation (and former lead singer of the Spinners) GC Cameron. Cameron was a key writer and guest vocalist on their first CD titled, “I Can Give You Love.” The CD has gained recognition and excited the ears of fans throughout the US, UK, Europe, and Japan.
