Windsor Country Singer Kelsi Mayne Named Finalist in SiriusXM Competition

Kelsi-Mayne-Press-Photo-1Windsor country singer Kelsi Mayne has been selected as one of the three finalists in SiriusXM’s national country music competition Top of The Country. She will duke it out in a live onstage battle to be crowned Canada’s next big country star, take home a $25,000 cash prize and attend an international SOCAN songwriting camp.

Joining Mayne in the competition is BC band Tim and the Glory Boys and Quebec singer Matt Lang.

 

“We have some incredible artists in Top of The Country this season and I’m looking forward to seeing what they accomplish in the finale,” said Tracy Martin, President, CCMA said in a statement. “We’re looking forward to celebrating their undeniable growth as artists when they take to the stage at Country Music Week. Congratulations and good luck to the three finalists!”

Mayne took to Twitter with her excitement:

“Is this a dream right now,” she wrote. “We did it. So incredibly grateful to say we’re advancing to the @siriusxmcountry #TopOfTheCountry Finals!!!!!! What is life right now?? Thank you for making my dream come true!!!”

The grand prize winner will be chosen live at SiriusXM Top of the Country Finale during Country Music Week 2019 in Calgary, AB from September 5-8. Finalists will compete live on stage before a soon-to-be-announced headlining act, airing live on SiriusXM. The winner will receive the $25,000 grand prize, plus an international SOCAN songwriting camp and more.
