Come to hear true stories of Windsor’s colourful bootlegging past by local storyteller and actor Rob Tymec for a special Christmas edition of Bootlegger Tales and Tasting on Dec. 17 at 8pm at Water’s Edge Event Center and the old Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
Rob is a master storyteller and has a few surprises, including some secrets shared in one of the venues that played a crucial role in local Prohibition and Bootlegger extraordinaire Al Capone’s local history on the Windsor side of the Detroit River.
There is also a formal tasting of whisky, bourbon, and scotch where tasters get taken through flavours, history, production and tasting techniques.
The event hosts a cash bar with festive Christmas cocktails.
Ticket price: $20 per person advance purchase only. Open seating. Tables of 10 may be reserved with a group rate.
What’s included in ticket price: entertainment and whisky tasting. Tickets available for purchase through Eventbrite.
