Sir Elton John is a true legend of rock and roll. The English singer, pianist, and composer is one of pop music’s great survivors, having recorded and toured since the late 60s. Viewpointe Rocks!, a new series presented by the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, sees southwestern Ontario favorites Jeans ‘n Classics return to the Chrysler Theatre for another rocking show featuring the music of Sir Elton John on Friday, Nov. 10.
Madmen Across the Water: The Music of Elton John highlights Sir Elton John’s greatest hits and the best rock music in a whole new way – with a live symphony orchestra. Sir Elton John is known for his amazing stage presence and lush orchestration, so the transfer of his music to the symphony should only enhance the masterworks they truly are.
