Winnipeg aggressive power-chord punk rock duo Mobina Galore are currently in the midst of their latest Canadian tour, with plans to stop in the 519 at London’s Probably House on Sept. 28. The duo has just released their new album ‘Don’t Worry’ this month and have a fun video for the song Escape Plan.
With a decade history together, Jenna Priestner and Marcia Hanson have been building their voices; musically and literally since they first started out in their jam room in Fernie, BC. Their growth as a band is shining truer than ever before on “Don’t Worry” with bigger choruses, stronger guitar riffs and some pretty intense vocals.
The on-stage/off-stage duo have a lot to brag about with the new album. Songs like I Want It All, Escape Plan and Dig Myself Out remind me of the sass, energy and pop-punk power of The Runaways and even solo Joan Jett. It’s an exciting and welcoming new step in Mobina Galore’s growth.
We had a lengthy phone chat with Jenna when the duo were on route to a show in Berlin and dove into the psyche of what makes Jenna, Marcia and Mobina Galore tick.
