A former frontman for Canadian rockers I Mother Earth is coming to the 519 for a gig at Phog Lounge in Windsor on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Brian Byrne, who sang with the band from 1997 to 2003 and 2012 to 2015, will be performing a show as part of a duo for an early show starting at 6pm.
Byrne has spent more than 20 years in the Canadian music industry, appearing on two I Mother Earth albums (Blue Green Orange and The Quicksilver Meat Dream), as well as two solo albums and a handful of singles.
Along with I Mother Earth, Byrne has performed solo tours opening for such acts as INXS and Corb Lund and he also appeared in an Ontario Tourism television commercial in 2007 where he sang “There’s No Place Like This” to images of people enjoying themselves across the province.
His latest release is Boots and Blood, an EP on Blacktop Records with tracks to tease his upcoming third album.
