Tell us about your career, including your history, where you are from and how you started?
Stereobabe formed in 2020 during quarantine! Leann Banks from Detroit And Ted Lamont from Windsor met online and started making music together virtually! Before long they were recording originals and performing live around the metro areas.

How did you come up with your band name?
Well, there’s two of us, and the word babe is just fun!

Do you have any recorded music available for fans?
Yes! You can find our original music on our Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube, and all the other streaming platforms.

How would you describe your music?
We like a good melody with harmonies, and a power pop hook! A lot of our influences are 60s and 70s Brit pop bands, so we like to add a vintage flair to our songs.

What makes your band and/or music stand out from the others?
We know we have a retro power-pop vibe – aside from that we try to not take ourselves too seriously. We want to come across as having fun with what we do!

What do you like to do outside of music that contributes to your music?
We like to travel as much as we can, and adventure always leads to more inspiration!

Name your two biggest musical influences and why?
Only 2? Ha ha. How about 3? The Beatles, Cheap Trick, and Sloan! All of these bands have carried the power pop torch through the ages!

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs?
We collaborate together on all of our songs. We try to keep it light, and we take inspiration from our everyday experiences.

What has been your biggest musical challenge? Have you been able to overcome that challenge?
It seems the biggest challenge lately is how saturated the music market is. We just try to focus on what we’re doing and hopefully people will enjoy it!

What current projects are you working on at the moment?
We’re always working on new material… New songs, new videos, new adventures!
