Pandora Boxx, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2 Miss Congeniality, and 5th place contestant of RuPaul’s All Star Drag Race season 1, brought her comedy cabaret titled “Out-of-the-Boxx” to Windsor on Thursday October 3 with a funny and fun night in the Student Life Centre at St. Clair College.
Pandora, or shall we say Miss Boxx, was welcomed to town by Lavender Promotions and St. Clair College’s SRC (Student Representative Council) and was joined by local comedians Mel Lucier and Tim Reaburn. This was the first event with a partnership between Lavender Promotions and St. Clair College SRC, and discounted admission was offered to students of St. Clair College.
Pandora Boxx teased the audience with her playful humour and entertained them with her stunning performances. She came out in a long black feathery jacket before revealing her first ensemble, a poop emoji dress with fishnet stockings and big black boots. This outfit also came off shortly after to reveal a more mermaid-ish Elsa-esque dress made of large turquoise sequins. She joked about the weakness of Canadian cocktails and gave the audience a taste of a Pandora Boxx style Death Drop that was both dramatic and hilarious.
For her next act she entered the stage donning Harry Potter garb that received a great reaction from the audience. She waved a wand around in her black cloak and Gryffindor scarf, then dropped the gown to reveal a much smaller outfit that included a Gryffindor crested corset, and then covered back up with a feathery pink robe. Finally, she ended her set in a long blue overcoat and engaged the audience with her funny song and dance rendition of Bonnie Tyler’s song “Total Eclipse of the Heart”.
