On a Facebook post today (Feb. 17), Korda Artistic Productions sadly announced the passing of long-time Windsor actress and costumer Clare Kilpatrick. On the post, Jeff Marontate mentioned working with his friend of more than 40 years.
“Clare was strong willed, creative, kind, stubborn, generous, open, and genuinely interested in, well, so many things. Clare contributed her talents to several shows on which I worked,” Jeff wrote. “Clare was always learning, experimenting, taking risks; she was one of the most curious people I have ever known (in all senses of the word!).”
For Korda, Clare costumed the highly popular Rocky Horror Show production in 2014 and played the part of Belise in The Learned Ladies in 2005. She also took on several roles for Leamington’s Sun Parlour Players Community Theatre, including The Skin of Our Teeth, The Emperor’s New Clothes and The School for Scandal. She also worked on some costuming for Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts’ 2018 smash hit Hairspray.
Clare’s family has asked that donations be made to Windsor Street Help, a cause that was very close to Clare’s heart.
